Purkay Labs is a Massachusetts-based technology company dedicated to developing straightforward, standalone, and cost-effective solutions for mission-critical environments, such as data centers, laboratories, hospitals, commercial real estate, and growing facilities. Our products are trusted by facilities across the globe.
Our Story
Purkay Labs was built around a problem we saw again and again.
Smart data center teams were being asked to manage cooling and risk without clear visibility into what was actually happening on the floor. Facilities evolved, loads changed, and insight often came too late.
We believed teams deserved better.
Purkay Labs exists to provide fast, practical thermal insight—so operators and leaders can validate decisions, uncover hidden constraints, and act with confidence.

Indra Purkayastha
FOUNDER & CEO
Indra is founder and CEO of Purkay Labs in October 2012, where he focuses on technical innovation.
Prior to Purkay Labs, Indra worked for 25 years at General Electric in the Electrical Distribution business. In 2005, Indra joined iRobot Corporation as the Senior Vice President for Product Development, developing robots for home and improvised explosive device defeat applications.
A member of IEEE, Indra holds 9 US patents. He has a MSEE from University of Missouri and B.Tech EE from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.In his free time, Indra enjoys running and playing soccer.

Aheli Purkayastha
CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER
Aheli is Chief Product Officer at Purkay Labs, where she leads the product development and innovation strategy.
Before joining Purkay Labs, Aheli worked with the United Nations Security Council and Oxfam International to coordinate disaster relief missions. She is a founding member of the Women in Mission Critical Organization (WiMCO), where she works on bringing more people into the Data Center Industry.
Aheli received her BA in the History of Art and Political Science from Bryn Mawr College and her MSc in International Political Theory from the University of Edinburgh.
When not traveling abroad, Aheli enjoys renovating ugly houses and sailing in the Narragansett Bay.

Gregg Haley
Principal Consultant
Gregg is the Principal Consultant for Purkay Labs, where he leverages his extensive expertise and industry knowledge to provide strategic guidance and solutions. He authors the Purkay Labs Blog.
Prior to Purkay Labs, Gregg served the Senior Director of Data Center Operations - Global for Limelight Networks. Gregg holds a certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) as a Business Continuity Planner. He played a pivotal role as a founding member and Treasurer of the Association of Contingency Planners - Greater Boston Chapter, a non-profit industry association focused on promoting and educating about Business Continuity Planning. Gregg also served on the chapter's Board of Directors for the initial four years. Additionally, he is a former member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS).
