Due to limited on-site staffing and changes to daily operations, the Client needed a way to solve the problem without third-party help. Case Study: Resolving SLA Cooling Dispute
In April 2018, a Colocation provider was concerned about running out of reserve cooling because a Tenant had put in multiple high-flow tiles. The Colo used Purkay Labs’ On-Site Assessment service to determine if the high-flow tiles were necessary. Purkay Labs use their AUDIT-BUDDY system and a TSI Balometer to measure the inlet temperatures and CFM measurements across the facility and found that the Tenant was significantly overcooling the facility.

Case Study: Enhancing Cooling Efficiency in a Legacy Data Center
In this case study, a Fortune 50 Telecommunications provider (the Client) wanted to examine the impact of changing CRAC control system on the running of the data center. Using Purkay Labs’ On-Site Assessment Service to benchmark the changes, the Client was able prove that they were be able to control inlet temperatures (and avoid variations), reduce CRAC energy use to run more efficiently. This had tremendous impact on the operating expenses, saving the Client $10K in the first month and reducing PUE by .03.
